The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) is the largest Fire Department in the United States and universally is recognized as the world's busiest and most highly skilled emergency response agency. The Department's main goal is to provide fire protection, emergency medical care, and other critical public safety services to residents and visitors in the five boroughs. The Fire Department, City of New York (FDNY), seeks a full-time Deputy Director in the Bureau of Enterprise Technology. Reporting directly to Director of Application Development, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing a team of business analysts, quality assurance engineers and UI/UX designers as well as application development projects. Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Manage Business Analysts to gather application development requirements and design solutions with the UX designers. Manage Quality Assurance Analysts to support application development team by identifying bugs and defects to ensure quality of deliverables. Standardize UI designs, components and user experience for app development projects. Effectively manage project resources and prioritization to ensure projects are delivered within a reasonable timeline. Regularly monitor and report on projects to triage issues, determine action items, decisions and manage. Work with development team to build and support HRIS and FDNY My Portal application.
