About the Company At Avaron, you get the security of permanent employment combined with the variety of working at different customers. We place specialists across everything from tech, IT and industry to project management and business support – and whatever the assignment, you have a consultant manager who is there for you and your development. About the Role You will join a platform team that is building a new observability platform for a modern product environment. The mission is both technical and strategic: you help design, build, and run the observability stack while also shaping standards, paved paths, and best practices for how teams work with telemetry. This role sits close to real users. You work across existing development environments and a newer internal developer platform, making sure observability is usable, scalable, and operationally strong from the start. You will have a hands-on role in an area that is evolving quickly, where feedback loops are short and your decisions will influence how engineering teams monitor and understand their systems. It is a great opportunity if you enjoy combining platform engineering, production operations, and developer advocacy in one role. Job DescriptionYou will drive the implementation of the observability stack and help shape how it is used across engineering teams. You will design, build, and maintain observability capabilities with a strong focus on usability, scalability, and long-term operability. You will work closely with developers to understand daily challenges, gather feedback, and turn that input into practical platform improvements. You will advocate for observability standards and best practices, including documentation of paved paths and recommended ways of working. You will follow developments in the OpenTelemetry ecosystem and apply relevant improvements to the platform. You will help operate the observability stack in production and take part in a rotating 24/7 support setup. You will contribute where the need is greatest in a fast-moving environment, with a practical mindset and willingness to learn quickly. RequirementsYou have experience working hands-on with OpenTelemetry. You have experience with the LGTM stack, including Loki, Grafana, Tempo, and Mimir. You have familiarity with AWS, including CloudFormation, or a strong interest in working with it. You are comfortable designing and operating platform capabilities in production. You have strong communication and collaboration skills and want to work with developer advocacy in observability. You have strong problem-solving skills and prefer learning by doing. You are comfortable working in an environment with evolving priorities and high pace. You are fluent in English. Nice to haveExperience with other observability tooling. Familiarity with ECS and Docker. Familiarity with Python. Familiarity with Kubernetes. Interest in or experience with technologies in the CNCF ecosystem.
