Opportunity Summary
SP6 is looking for a Marketing Generalist to join our team as a hands-on, versatile contributor.
The Marketing Generalist will help bring SP6's AI governance, AI security and AI system resiliency services to market. They will write and manage content, run email marketing and social campaigns, maintain our website, coordinate events and webinars, and support day-to-day marketing operations, all with an eye toward generating pipeline, not just brand awareness.
Responsibilities
Content Development
• Interview technical subject matter experts (SMEs) and transform complex technical discussions into engaging, business-focused content.

• Marketing collateral
• Website content
• Email campaigns
• Utilize AI tools to improve content quality and accelerate content creation while maintaining accuracy and brand voice.
Email Marketing
• Plan, build, and send email campaigns to prospects and customers, including newsletters, webinar and office hours invitations, event promotion, and blog and content promotion.
• Build and maintain automated nurture workflows in HubSpot (or similar) that move prospects from first touch to sales-ready.
• Segment contact lists by audience, interest, and engagement so each message reaches the right people.
• Write subject lines and email copy, and run A/B tests to improve open, click, and conversion rates.
• Maintain list hygiene and deliverability, including managing bounces, unsubscribes, and sender reputation.
• Maintain the email calendar as part of the broader marketing calendar.
• Report on email performance, connecting results to leads, Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), and revenue.
Digital Marketing
• Maintain company websites (WordPress/Elementor), including back-end work, page creation and editing, and managing services pages.
• Coordinate webinar logistics and content.
• Manage LinkedIn and support broader social media efforts, maintaining a professional tone and regularly ideating original content.
• Support brand messaging and messaging strategy.
• Maintain marketing calendars and campaign schedules.
Marketing Operations
• Coordinate concurrent initiatives, deadlines, and cross-functional work with sales, consultants, and leadership.
• Track project progress, organize marketing assets, and ensure deliverables ship on time.
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards, and report on lead generation metrics (open rates, click-through rates, website visits, lead conversion, and revenue impact).
• Manage HubSpot (or similar) marketing automation, including workflow and automation setup.
• Route qualified leads to sales and coordinate cross-channel communication with sales reps.
• Manage marketing tech administration, including third-party vendor relationships, tool approvals, access, and serving as super admin across marketing tools.
• Manage event/booth logistics, including researching events, registration and payments, swag inventory, packing, travel, and on-site coordination.
Brand Support
• Create simple graphics and visual assets using Canva or similar tools.
• Update resumes, presentations, and marketing documents.
• Ensure consistent branding across all marketing materials.
Work Style & Collaboration
• Show initiative by proactively identifying gaps and stepping in to address them
• Communicate closely with marketing teammates, staying in sync on projects and collaborating throughout the process - for example, proofing each other's work before it goes live.
• Stay flexible as priorities shift throughout the day and be ready to pivot when an urgent request comes up.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently, often requiring different mindsets throughout the day.
• Operate comfortably with ambiguity and under pressure, as day-to-day workload and structure can vary significantly.
Requirements
• 3+ years of B2B marketing experience.
• Email marketing experience - demonstrated ability to leverage email as a lead generation channel that drives Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and revenue, beyond engagement metrics such as opens and clicks.
• Content marketing/writing skills - blog posts, white papers, case studies, use cases, success stories, customer interviews.
• Event marketing - manages events end-to-end, from researching and selecting the right events to attend, handling registration, booth payments, and swag inventory, through packing, travel coordination (flights, hotels), and on-site execution as the event's project manager. Comfort with travel is required.
• Social media execution - specifically LinkedIn posting and content ideation.
• HubSpot experience - or at least familiarity with marketing automation platforms; can be trained, but experience preferred.
• Strong Canva design skills, with the ability to create polished graphics independently.
• Marketing operations/administrative tasks - list hygiene, lead routing, vendor management, tool administration.
• Adaptability and ability to pivot quickly - must handle multiple priorities, take executive feedback, and work under pressure.
• Demand generation mindset - approaches marketing as a strategic driver of pipeline and revenue, not simply a brand-awareness function.
• Technical audience marketing - ability to market to a technical/compliance audience.
• Experience updating website content.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Strong time management and project coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in technology, IT services, cybersecurity, SaaS, or professional services.
• Experience interviewing technical SMEs.
• AI proficiency (particularly Claude or similar AI platforms).
• SEO and AI Engine Optimization (AEO) knowledge, both technical and content-based.
