Opportunity Summary:
SP6 is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to own our B2B email program from strategy to results. You will be the voice of SP6 in the inbox, turning email into a reliable engine for pipeline and customer engagement.
This role is for a hands-on email marketer who is ready to take ownership: planning campaigns, building automated nurture programs, managing our lists and deliverability, and proving impact with data. You will work directly with leadership and sales, and you will help shape how we reach the security, risk, compliance, and IT leaders responsible for how their organizations use AI.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategy and planning
• Take ownership of the email marketing function, partnering with leadership to set goals tied to demand generation and pipeline.
• Build and maintain the email marketing calendar, aligning sends with product launches, events, webinars, and sales priorities.
• Develop segmentation and cadence strategies for prospects, customers, and partners.
Campaign execution
• Plan, build, and send campaigns to client and prospect audiences, including newsletters, promotional sends, event invitations, and product announcements.
• Coordinate with content creators across the company, and project manage the flow of content into the email program.
• Write and edit email copy and subject lines that speak to security, risk, and compliance leaders, turning complex AI governance and security topics into clear, practical messages.
• Run QA on every send, including content, links, PDFs, rendering across devices, and personalization fields.
Automation and nurture
• Design, build, and optimize automated workflows, including lead nurture tracks, onboarding sequences, and re-engagement campaigns.
• Work with sales to align email touches with the sales process and lead handoff.
Lists, data, and deliverability
• Build targeted prospect lists using Salesforce and ZoomInfo, and manage list growth strategies.
• Manage the contact database, including segmentation, data hygiene, suppression, and unsubscribes.
• Protect sender reputation and inbox placement by monitoring bounces, spam complaints, and authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
Testing, reporting, and optimization
• Run A/B tests on subject lines, content, calls to action, and send times, and apply the results.
• Own weekly reporting on campaign KPIs, including open, click, conversion, and unsubscribe rates, against best practices and historical performance.
• Report monthly and quarterly on email's contribution to leads, pipeline, and revenue.
• Recommend improvements to email systems, processes, and tools to drive demand generation.
Other
• Support other tasks needed for the team's success.
Required Experience:
• 2+ years of hands-on email marketing experience.
• Proven experience in email campaign creation and execution for technical or regulated B2B buyers, such as security, risk, compliance, and IT leaders.
• Experience running email campaigns from planning through execution and reporting, and a desire to own the full program.
• Ability to segment audiences and tailor messaging across SP6's markets: AI governance, risk, and compliance; AI security; AI system resiliency; security operations (SIEM); and cyber risk and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a similar marketing automation platform, such as Marketo or Pardot.
• Experience with automation, workflows, segmentation, and nurture strategy.
• Working knowledge of deliverability, list management, and email compliance.
• Comfort with data: you track KPIs, run tests, and turn results into recommendations.
• Clear, concise writing and strong attention to detail.
