As a Facilities Technician, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world’s best quantum computers to solve the world’s most complex problems.&nbsp;</p> <p>In this role, you will be responsible for day to day facility support operations. The ideal candidate is someone who is a team player with a “no job is too big or too small” attitude.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, lighting, and other building systems.&nbsp; Make repairs as needed or coordinate with external contractors.</li> <li>Work with external vendors or contractors for specialized projects, repairs, or maintenance when needed.</li> <li>Follow a preventative maintenance schedule for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.</li> <li>Operate and monitor building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure proper function .</li> <li>Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and company policies.&nbsp; Maintain records for inspections, repairs, and audits.</li> <li>Perform general upkeep tasks such as cosmetic work, painting, floor repairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.</li> <li>Perform Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) tasks to include HAZMAT removal through coordination with contractors, updating SDS database, JHA (job hazard analysis), etc.</li> <li>Assist with physical security projects and procedures</li> <li>Coordinate and assist with warehouse operations</li> <li>Coordinate and assist with moving equipment</li> <li>Monitor and maintain inventory.&nbsp; Order material, consumables, and parts as necessary.</li> <li>Monitor calibration program, schedule, and send equipment for calibration when necessary</li> <li>Respond to internal employee requests for building and project related issues.&nbsp; Maintain a customer service-oriented relationship.</li> <li>Coordinate with stakeholders for planned and unplanned maintenance.</li> <li>Create, address, and follow protocols and SOPs for facility emergencies such as power outages, water leaks, and broken equipment to minimize disruption to business operations. On-call after hours and weekends for response to facility emergencies.</li> <li>Other assigned duties as required in support of business needs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2 year technical degree or certification and 4+ years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-tech electronics / optics laboratory / data center / manufacturing environment. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a technical degree or certification.</li> <li>Experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as facility maintenance.</li> <li>Ability to work&nbsp; with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).</li> <li>Ability to work independently and in a team setting, as well as cross functionally with various organizations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Detail oriented individual with fine motor skills.</li> <li>Experience working with hand tools and performing small facilities, manufacturing, and lab repairs.</li> <li>Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures.</li> <li>Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include, but not limited to: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working overhead.</li> <li>Experience with data collection and analysis.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.</li> <li>Strong computer skills with proficiency in Google and Microsoft platforms.</li> <li>Excitement to learn and complement tasks contributing to multiple teams.</li> <li>Experience operating and maintaining equipment like forklifts, scissor lifts, box trucks, etc.</li> <li>A safety first mindset with ability to recognize hazards and identify appropriate PPE.</li> <li>A willingness to support a 5S program.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned to meet business requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<br></strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience working on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience working for a fast pace leading edge tech company.</li> <li>Experience working in R&amp;D laboratory spaces (optics, electronics, etc.)</li> <li>Experience with CAD software</li> <li>Safety certifications like first aid, CPR, AED, BBP</li> <li>OSHA 30 certification</li> <li>Experience working in a highly secured environments (classified, ITAR, CUI)</li> <li>Experience with security systems (access control, cameras, etc)&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with new site buildouts, site relocations, and site decommissioning</li> <li>Experience participating on a safety committee and performing JHAs (job hazard analysis), incident investigations, root cause analysis, etc</li> </ul> <p>The approximate pay range for this position is <span data-sheets-root="1">$24.89</span> - <span data-sheets-root="1">$30.05 per hour</span>.
