Empiria Group is currently looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our headquarters team. This is a full-time, year-round job based in Athens.

Role Overview:
As a Sales Manager, you will be the key ambassador of the hotel group, leveraging opportunities to increase bookings, maximize profitability, and build long-term partnerships and relationships within each business sector.
Key Accountabilities:
• Represents the Sales department in all areas, internally and externally to the highest standard in line with established guidelines and procedures
• Understands, analyzes and evaluates data, competition, and market trends
• Closes the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs
• Maximizes new business and maintains the growths of existing business.
• Builds and develops relationships within each sector (Leisure, MICE, etc.)
• Acts as the on-property liaison for group events
• Works with the management team to create and implement a sales/marketing plan addressing revenue, customers, and market.
• Assists with selling, implementation, and follow-through of sales promotions.
• Executes and supports Marriott’s Customer Service Standards and hotels’ Brand Standards.
• Conducts site inspections and FAM trips as required.
• Monitors the effective resolution of guest issues that arise as a result of the sales process by creating mechanisms to channel issues to property leadership and/or other appropriate stakeholders
• Creates reports and actionable suggestions for operational excellence
• Maintains all Sales files in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Pays strong attention to details and has a keen sense of follow-up and meeting of deadlines
Requirements:
• Degree in Hospitality, Sales or relevant field
• At least 3 years related working experience in luxury hotels
• Excellent English & Greek language, with the ability to write and speak effectively
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
• Advanced technical skills, including superior Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive in taking on new tasks
• Ability to travel
• The position is Athens based and includes staying in Santorini and Paros, based on season’s needs
