Assistant Accountant

TITAN Greece has an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant at our Kamari Plant, Greece . The position reports to the Finance and Administration Manager .
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Plant’s accounting and financial administration activities, ensuring the accurate recording of transactions, compliance with applicable accounting and tax requirements, and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities
• Record and monitor daily accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
• Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods/service receipts, ensuring compliance with procurement and finance policies.
• Perform general ledger, supplier, customer, and bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable activities, payment preparation, petty cash management, and employee expense processing.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and financial reporting.
• Support the monitoring of Plant costs, budgets, and financial performance.
• Prepare accounting information and documentation for tax obligations, internal controls, and audits.
• Maintain properly organized physical and electronic accounting records.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and digitalization of accounting and administrative processes.
• Collaborate closely with Plant departments, central Finance teams, suppliers, and external partners.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial administration, preferably within an industrial environment.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and Greek tax legislation.
• Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of SAP will be considered an asset.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office , particularly Excel.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset and ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Collaborative approach, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
