• Undertake electrical design and development activities as part of an engineering project team. • Undertake tasks within allocated budget and timeframe. • Responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems and interfaces for train simulators under the direction of the Project Manager. • Customer interaction to clarify technical issues as delegated by the Project Manager • Integrate all hardware systems & ensures communication between hardware & software products is properly functioning • Setup & maintain simulator hardware infrastructure (computer, peripheral & network configuration) • Provide support (both on-site & remote) for installed systems • Undertake simulator hardware installation & integration (Electrical & Computer Systems) • Design simulator computer hardware layouts, consulting with the project System Architect regarding software module allocation • Provide advice on potential improvements to Sydac’s quality systems. • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience • Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering • Experience in the Rail or transport industry desirable • Background in Electrical / Electronics or related domain especially in Simulator domain • Sound knowledge and experience designing integrated electrical systems. • Electrical drafting skills using AUTOCAD or equivalent software to develop wiring drawings according to electrical standards. • Ability to design, manufacture and install hardware. • Experience with computer systems is preferable, and expreience in audio and video systemsis highly desirable. • Practical hands on electrical engineering skills including testing of electrical equipment. • Experience applying electrical standards. • MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). • Experience dealing with electronic/electrical suppliers desirable. • VB for applications desirable (Microsoft Visio).
