About the team You will be reporting to the VP Media Relations. Your mission We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Media and Communications Officer to support our growing communications team. Based in Berlin or Munich, the successful candidate will play a key role in building the company’s reputation across Germany and internationally, with a particular focus on media relations, content development, and strategic messaging. Responsibilities • Develop and implement media strategies that support the company’s objectives • Proactively pitch stories and manage relationships with German and international media outlets • Draft press releases, op-eds, briefings, Q&As, and reactive statements in both English and German • Monitor media coverage and provide regular analysis and insight to internal stakeholders • Support the delivery of major announcements, media events, and leadership engagements • Ensure message consistency across all external communications, including alignment with corporate narrative • Work with other internal teams to develop content that showcases the company’s technology, partnerships, and impact • Act as a key point of contact for media enquiries Qualifications • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in communications, journalism, or media relations, preferably within the defence or security sectors • Strong understanding of the media landscape in Germany and Europe, with a proven track record of securing coverage • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English (native-level fluency in at least one) • Experience managing sensitive and high-stakes media moments, including crisis communications • Confident working with senior executives and external stakeholders • Able to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling messaging • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
