Remuneration: $100,000 - $110,000 + super | Full Time | Melbourne-Wide Run the technology behind our clinics hands-on, from Microsoft 365 and Windows Server to ECG and Holter systems and AI. Scope Healthcare is a steadily growing healthcare group delivering cardiac, sleep and respiratory diagnostics, radiology, specialist consultations and accredited healthcare education. Our team continues to expand year on year as our services grow. We're now looking for an IT & Clinical Systems Lead to own our technology end to end. You'll report to our Managing Director and work closely with our clinical and administration teams and our technology vendors. This is a hands-on role. One day you'll be patching servers and tightening Microsoft 365 security. The next you'll be fixing a Holter workstation that won't import a recording, or building an AI workflow that saves reception an hour a day. You'll also set direction: what we buy, what we retire, and where AI can safely take work off people. What you will do • Administer Microsoft 365. This covers Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune and Defender. • Run our Windows Server environment, including Active Directory, Group Policy, file and application servers, patching, monitoring, backup and recovery. • Look after the networks and hardware in every clinic. That means firewalls, Wi-Fi, workstations and printers, plus day-to-day IT support, staff onboarding and offboarding, devices and licences. • Keep our clinical systems available, current and fast. These are our ECG, Holter, ultrasound and practice management systems. You'll manage upgrades, device connectivity and the flow of recordings and reports between them. • Be the first point of support for clinical staff. Learn how each clinical workflow runs so the technology fits the work, and work with vendors to fix faults quickly. • Lead how we use AI across the business. Find repetitive work in admin, reporting and IT, then build automations and AI agents to handle it with tools such as Claude and OpenAI. • Set the guardrails for AI. Decide what data can go where, how outputs are checked and where a person must sign off, and train staff to use the tools well and safely. • Protect patient data. Use multi-factor authentication, conditional access, endpoint protection, access reviews and tested backups, and keep us in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and the Essential Eight. • Own the incident response and disaster recovery plans. Keep them current and test them. • Manage vendors, budget and planning. Look after support contracts, licences and renewals, own the technology budget and roadmap, and deliver upgrades, migrations and new projects. • Keep documentation current. Nothing should live only in your head. Systems you'll work with All our servers run Windows. You'll manage Microsoft 365 and Windows Server, Mortara, GE ultrasound software, Holter monitoring and ECG software, HealthTrack, Kaseya for IT management, Monday.com and our CRM tools, Zapier, and AI platforms such as Claude. You've run IT hands-on for a small or mid-sized organisation, and you already use AI in your own work. You explain things clearly and patiently to people who aren't technical. We're looking for: • Five or more years of hands-on IT experience, including time as the lead or only IT person. • Strong Microsoft 365 administration, including identity, security and device management. • Solid Windows Server skills, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, virtualisation, backup and recovery. • Working knowledge of networking and security. • Scripting, ideally in PowerShell. • Daily, practical use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT, with examples of work you've automated. • Experience supporting specialist business software and managing vendors. • A current driver's licence and a car, as you'll travel regularly between our clinics across Melbourne. Healthcare IT experience will be highly regarded, especially in cardiology, diagnostics or specialist practices. So will experience with Mortara, Holter or ECG systems or HealthTrack, familiarity with HL7 or DICOM, building with the Claude or OpenAI APIs, and Microsoft or ITIL certifications.
