Our client is a premier growth marketing consultancy that embeds fractional CMOs directly into technical B2B and SME businesses. They engineer scalable lead generation, elevate brand positioning, and drive high-impact marketing strategy from the inside out.
They are now seeking to hire a Senior Data & AI Engineer to architect and build a complex, multi-platform intelligence system from the ground up. This role is critical for developing a client-facing performance engine and an internal AI-driven playbook that aggregates operational learnings.
Job Responsibilities
Architecture and System Design
• Design, develop, and deploy a secure, multi-tenant intelligence architecture from scratch
• Own everything from foundational data pipelines to final LLM integrations
• Review current design documentation, identify technical blind spots, and push back on inefficient approaches to shape the long-term technology roadmap
• Act as a strategic technical partner to leadership by actively challenging existing designs to ensure the safest and most scalable approach
Data Engineering and Pipelines
• Connect disparate and inconsistent client systems including CRMs, ad platform APIs, web analytics, and manual spreadsheets
• Transform unstructured information into clean and usable data models
• Execute heavy data engineering to normalise inputs before layering on advanced AI workflows
AI Integration and Workflows
• Build production-ready workflows using Anthropic Claude within the Microsoft 365 and Asana ecosystems
• Ensure all AI outputs are highly accurate, context-aware, and traceable to their exact source
• Develop interfaces and processes that require human approval for all AI-generated outputs before they reach the end client
Security and Governance
• Engineer strict access controls ensuring all client data is completely separated
• Maintain read-only system access and minimise personal identifiable information in strict compliance with privacy regulations
• Treat data governance, auditability, and traceability as foundational system requirements rather than afterthoughts
Requirements
• Extensive, hands-on experience in Data Engineering, including ETL/ELT, managing APIs, extracting data from CRMs, and cleaning unstructured data
• Proven track record in Systems Architecture, specifically designing isolated, multi-tenant databases with strict security and governance protocols
• Real-world, production-level experience building and deploying LLM applications such as Claude, OpenAI, RAG pipelines, or agentic workflows
• Deep understanding of data privacy laws, PII minimisation, and auditable data practices
• Ability to confidently transition between high-level architectural strategy and hands-on coding on a daily basis
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience building and integrating within the Microsoft 365 and Asana ecosystems
• Prior exposure to marketing technology, ad network APIs including Google and Meta, or sales CRMs
• Familiarity with building strict human-in-the-loop approval interfaces and user experiences for AI outputs
Benefits
• Permanent work-from-home set-up
• Dayshift (Australian Eastern Daylight Time business hours)
• Full-Time opportunity
• HMO (STAFF only)
• Annual leave
• Christmas Bonus equivalent to 1 month's wage (pro-rate)
