As we continue to grow, we’re looking for experienced Construction Site Representatives (Transmission) to support the construction and replacement of transmission infrastructure. The Construction Site Representatives will provide site level coordination and oversight, working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and service providers to support safe, effective project execution and maintain strong working relationships between EDTI and its service partners. Responsibilities: This work requires collaboration with internal and external site personnel and serve as the Owner’s Site Lead for high-voltage construction projects throughout all phases of execution. The core responsibilities include: • Serve as the Client’s on-site lead, overseeing contractor work for compliance with contract scope, schedules, drawings, specifications, technical standards, quality expectations, and regulatory requirements. • Coordinate site activities, crews, subcontractors, deliveries, outages, equipment, access, and logistics to prevent conflicts, address adverse conditions, and maintain secure, orderly worksites. • Verify site-specific safety requirements, participate in safe-work planning, issue permits where applicable, communicate hazards, enforce CIP requirements, and stop work when safety, environmental, or incident conditions require it. • Support the Client with work prioritization and scheduling, contractor RFIs, LEM approvals, change negotiations, and timely reporting of schedule, pace, quality, or project risks. • Perform quality assurance by reviewing ITPs, inspecting materials and work, tracking deficiencies, confirming witness points, signing off completed work, and holding contractors accountable for housekeeping, planning, and look-ahead schedules. Who we are looking for: • Journeyman (Power System Electrician/Power Line Technician) certification • Minimum 5 years of substation construction experience or 10+ years of directly relatable Utility industry experience • Training certifications for CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, LOA, Prime Contractor would be an asset • Good working knowledge of project and contract administration • Excellent working knowledge of safety standards and regulations such as Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards and WorkSafe Regulations • Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in English • Excellent use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
