Assurity Trusted Solutions (ATS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Government Technology Agency (GovTech). Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy and Vision
• Define and communicate the product vision, objectives, and desired outcomes in alignment with business requirements and/or mission.
• Develop and maintain the product strategy and roadmap to guide the direction and evolution of the product.
• Identify opportunities where products can address user needs, business/organisational challenges, or strategic objectives.
• Define and monitor success metrics to evaluate whether the product is achieving its intended outcomes.
2. User and Problem Discovery
• Engage users and stakeholders to understand their needs, pain points, workflows, and desired outcomes.
• Conduct or facilitate user research, interviews, feedback sessions, and other discovery activities to identify and validate problems worth solving.
• Validate assumptions and proposed solutions with users before and during product development.
3. Product Prioritisation and Roadmap Management
• Assess and prioritise product opportunities, requirements, features, and improvements based on user value, organisational impact, strategic alignment, risk, and implementation effort.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate the product roadmap based on agreed priorities and desired outcomes.
• Make product-level trade-offs when balancing competing user needs, stakeholder priorities, technical constraints, and available resources (e.g. time, money, and manpower.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate with engineering, design, business, operations, security, and other relevant teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide sufficient context and clarity to engineering and design teams on the problems to be solved and intended outcomes.
• Communicate product direction, roadmap, progress, decisions, and trade-offs clearly to relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitate alignment between user needs, organisational objectives, and technical considerations when making product decisions.
5. Product Delivery
• Work closely with engineering and design teams throughout product development to clarify requirements, identify risks early, and make timely product decisions.
• Review product increments and provide product-level feedback to ensure delivered capabilities address intended user needs and outcomes.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to support product launches, user onboarding, communications, and adoption.
• Identify and address product-related risks, dependencies, and issues that may affect successful delivery or adoption.
6. Product Performance and Continuous Improvement
• Define and monitor appropriate product metrics, including measures of user adoption, engagement, satisfaction, and product outcomes.
• Analyse product usage, user feedback, and other relevant data to assess product performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve the product based on evidence and learning form users.
• Incorporate insights and lessons learned into subsequent product priorities and roadmap decisions.
7. Product Lifecycle Management
• Manage the product across its lifecycle, from discovery and development through operation, enhancement, and eventual retirement.
• Periodically assess whether the product continues to meet user needs and organisational objectives.
• Recommend whether products or capabilities should be enhanced, maintained, consolidated, replaced, or retired.
• Ensure appropriate transition and communication plans are established when significant product changes or retirement decisions are made.
1. Product Management
• Good understanding of product management principles and practices, including product discovery, product strategy, roadmapping, prioritisation, delivery, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to identify and frame user problems and translate them into clear product opportunities and requirements.
• Familiarity with product prioritisation techniques and the ability to make evidence-based trade-offs between competing priorities.
• Ability to define product outcomes and appropriate metrics for measuring product success.
2. User Research and Analytical Skills
• Ability to conduct or facilitate user research and gather meaningful insights through interviews, whiteboarding sessions, feedback, and other discovery methods.
• Ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative information to identify user needs, patterns, and opportunities.
• Ability to use product data, user feedback, and other evidence to support product decisions and prioritisation.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to distinguish underlying problems and proposed solutions.
3. Communication and Stakeholder Management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate product concepts, priorities, and decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to engage and manage stakeholders with differing needs, priorities, and perspectives.
• Ability to facilitate discussions and build alignment across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to communicate and justify product trade-offs and prioritisation decisions using evidence and clear rationale.
