About the role We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support the daily financial operations of the business. The successful candidate will help ensure that client funds and equity balances are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported in accordance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal control procedures. Responsibility Bookkeeping & General Ledger • Record and maintain cash books and trading transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Prepare and maintain daily cashflow reconciliation reports and cash position summaries. • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner. • Prepare and post journal entries. • Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules. • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. • Ensure all accounting documentation is properly maintained and readily available for audit purposes. Financial Control & Compliance • Support external audits, internal audits, and regulatory reporting requirements. • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory obligations applicable to CFD and financial services businesses. • Identify process improvements to strengthen reconciliation controls and operational efficiency. Communication & Collaboration : • Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure requests and inquiries are attended to promptly and accurately. • Work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth execution of team functions and deadlines. • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related field. • 1-2 years of accounting-related experience. • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping and reconciliations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Mandarin fluency is a plus but not required. • Experience in AFSL, trading platforms, financial services, or fund management is an advantage. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
