We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Department Leader – Robotic Welding to provide day-to-day leadership and technical support within our robotic welding operations at Spectrum Metalcraft. This position will lead and support team members, coordinate daily production activities, and help ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals are achieved. The ideal candidate combines strong robotic welding knowledge with the ability to lead, coach, and motivate others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Major Responsibilities: • Train, coach, and develop employees while monitoring productivity, attendance, and adherence to company policies and safe work practices. • Consistently promotes high standards through personal example so each employee understands the standards of behavior expecyed. • Frequently rounds on employees to check in on needs, concerns, and issues. • Monitor product quality, identify welding or production deficiencies, and assist with corrective actions. • Communicates organizational goals so each employee is aware of expectations and deliverables. • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments to resolve production and equipment issues. • Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement efforts. • Communicate production, employee, quality, and operational concerns to the Welding Department Manager and perform other duties as assigned. This position is scheduled to work Monday thru Thursday, from 6 am – 5:00 pm.  Based on the Department's work production schedule this job may be required to work on Fridays. • High School diploma or equivalent, vocational technical school.  3 years of production exposure preferred. • 1-3 years of leadership exposure preferred but not required. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Ability to communicate goals, objectives and guidelines to employees as required.
