<p><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Liquid Personnel is recruiting Adult Social Worker for its client's Safeguarding Team (S42 Triage) in Somerset.<br><br>Our client, based in Somerset, is seeking an experienced&nbsp;Adult Social Worker&nbsp;to join their&nbsp;Safeguarding Team, with a focus on&nbsp;Section 42 (S42) triage and enquiries.<br>This role sits at the front end of safeguarding, where you will be responsible for&nbsp;screening, triaging, and progressing safeguarding concerns&nbsp;in line with statutory duties. You will work with a range of vulnerable adults, ensuring timely, proportionate, and defensible decision-making to protect individuals at risk of abuse or neglect.<br></span></p> <p><strong>What will your responsibilities be?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Triaging incoming&nbsp;safeguarding concerns&nbsp;and determining whether they meet the threshold for a&nbsp;Section 42 enquiry&nbsp;under the Care Act 2014</li> <li>Undertaking and co-ordinating&nbsp;Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, ensuring they are completed in a timely and proportionate manner</li> <li>Gathering, analysing and evaluating information to inform&nbsp;risk assessments and decision-making</li> <li>Working closely with partner agencies (e.g. police, health services, providers and the CQC) to ensure effective&nbsp;multi-agency safeguarding responses</li> <li>Making defensible decisions regarding&nbsp;risk, capacity and safeguarding outcomes, ensuring the adult’s voice remains central to all intervention</li> <li>Completing&nbsp;Mental Capacity Assessments&nbsp;where appropriate and contributing to&nbsp;Best Interests decision-making&nbsp;processes</li> <li>Identifying immediate risks and taking appropriate action to&nbsp;safeguard adults at risk of abuse or neglect</li> <li>Ensuring safeguarding plans are&nbsp;person-centred, outcome-focused and proportionate to risk</li> <li>Maintaining accurate, timely and high-quality&nbsp;case records, reports and decision logs, in line with organisational and legal requirements</li> <li>Contributing to&nbsp;strategy discussions, safeguarding meetings and case conferences</li> <li>Applying professional curiosity to ensure all risks are appropriately explored and managed</li> <li>Working within a&nbsp;fast-paced duty/triage environment, managing competing priorities effectively</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this role you must have,&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Professional Qualification:</strong></p> <ul> <li>MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW</li> </ul> <p><strong>Registration:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be registered with&nbsp;Social Work England</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum&nbsp;2 years’ post-qualified experience, including completion of ASYE</li> <li>Strong experience within&nbsp;Adult Safeguarding, including conducting or co-ordinating&nbsp;Section 42 enquiries</li> <li>Experience working in a&nbsp;triage or front-door safeguarding service&nbsp;is highly desirable</li> <li>Experience managing&nbsp;risk and complex safeguarding cases</li> <li>Experience of&nbsp;multi-agency working&nbsp;in safeguarding contexts</li> </ul> <p><strong>Legislation Knowledge:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong working knowledge of: <ul> <li>Care Act 2014 (particularly safeguarding duties under Section 42)</li> <li>Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA)</li> <li>Human Rights Act 1998 (HRA)</li> <li>Safeguarding Adults procedures and frameworks</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong&nbsp;analytical, assessment and decision-making skills, particularly within safeguarding</li> <li>Ability to&nbsp;identify and manage risk effectively&nbsp;in high-pressure situations</li> <li>Confidence in making&nbsp;defensible safeguarding decisions</li> <li>Excellent&nbsp;communication and partnership-working skills</li> <li>Ability to work&nbsp;autonomously within a fast-paced triage environment</li> <li>High standard of&nbsp;written recording and report writing</li> <li>Demonstrates&nbsp;professional curiosity, resilience and sound judgement</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full UK driving licence and access to a car is desirable</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Liquid Personnel?</strong></p> <ul> <li>&nbsp;Free DBS and compliance service</li> <li>Twice weekly payroll and ‘Faster Pay’ service, getting you paid more quickly</li> <li>Access to exclusive roles that aren’t available from other agencies</li> <li>Free access to Liquid’s exclusive social work training and CPD portal</li> <li>Your own dedicated consultant with extensive social work knowledge</li> <li>Access to a wide selection of social work positions across the UK</li> <li>“Refer a Friend” bonus – get £500 for each social worker you refer who we successfully place*</li> <li>“Find your own job” bonus – get £250 for bringing your own position to us *</li> </ul> <p>Liquid Personnel is an equal opportunities employer.
