<p>Our client based in Devon is looking for an experienced and high skilled Adult Social Worker to support out locality teams in West Devon. This role requires a confident practitioner with strong legal literacy, proven leadership capability, and the ability to support both operational and supervisory functions within a busy adult social care environment.</p>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">What will your responsibilities be?</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li>Statutory assessments such as Care Act assessments, MCA assessments, Best Interest decisions, and Community DoLS work. </li>
<li>Care and support planning that is strengths‑based, personalised, and focused on delaying or preventing escalating needs.</li>
<li>Safeguarding adults, including identifying and investigating concerns and coordinating protective actions with partner agencies.</li>
<li>Managing a varied caseload, supporting adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults with complex conditions.</li>
<li>Multi‑disciplinary working with health services, community organisations, and care providers to deliver integrated, holistic support. </li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Qualifications and Experience:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">To be successful in this role you must have;</span> <span data-contrast="auto"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li>Professional Qualification: MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW.</li>
<li>Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England.</li>
<li>Experience: At least 5 years post-qualified experience and ASYE</li>
<li>Legislation Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Best Interest Decisions, CDoLS, and safeguarding procedures.</li>
<li>Skills: Excellent assessment, analysis, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary setting.</li>
<li>Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence and access to a car is often required for community visits. </li>
