This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative Mental Health service where teamwork, wellbeing, professional development, and person-centred practice are at the heart of service delivery.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The successful candidate will work as part of a specialist Mental Health team providing social care interventions for individuals who meet the threshold for secondary mental health services. Working closely with health partners, Adult Social Care teams, carers, and wider community services, you will play a key role in protecting vulnerable adults, undertaking urgent assessments, managing risk, and ensuring individuals receive timely and appropriate interventions.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Participate in the AMHP duty rota and undertake statutory AMHP responsibilities under the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended).</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Complete Mental Health Act assessments and determine the need for compulsory admission, detention, guardianship, or Community Treatment Orders where appropriate.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Undertake urgent assessments of adults with mental health and social care needs.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Coordinate Mental Health Act assessments and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants involved.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Manage a varied and complex caseload involving mental health concerns, safeguarding issues, risk management, and complex social circumstances.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Complete Care Act assessments, reviews, care planning, and social work interventions to promote recovery and independence.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and apply the Mental Capacity Act 2005 appropriately within practice.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Respond to referrals, undertake duty work, and provide timely intervention during mental health crises.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assess, manage, and reduce risks through effective risk assessment and risk management planning.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work collaboratively with NHS professionals, mental health services, carers, families, police, and partner agencies.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Undertake safeguarding enquiries and ensure adults are protected from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Qualifications and Experience Required</strong></span></p> <ul style="text-align: justify;"> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">MA, BA, or BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Occupational Therapy qualification, or an equivalent recognised professional qualification.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Current registration with Social Work England or the relevant professional regulatory body.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Current Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification and approval.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Significant post-qualified experience within Adult Social Care and/or Mental Health Services.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
