Research associate in Plant Science \*\*What you'll be doing here\*\* \* Helping establish a soil monitoring scheme to harmonize monitoring activities at European scale \* Setting up equipment at the Swiss monitoring site and collecting wind, water erosion and tillage erosion data \* Collecting information from the local stakeholders based on surveys and workshops to support the measurements \* Analysing the Swiss data and modelling soil erosion at catchment scale \* Collecting data from all European monitoring sites, controlling quality, analysing statistics and writing publications \* Using standardized methods to ensure up\\-to\\-date and accurate data matching modelers' needs and validating the selected indicators \*\*What you'll bring with you\*\* \* A university degree (master's or PhD) in agronomy or a related subject \* Very good knowledge of agricultural science and soil science \* Experience in monitoring and modelling soil erosion, data analysis and programming languages ( R, Python) \* High level of motivation, ability to work independently, resilience and strong interpersonal and communication skills \* Native speaker of German or French with a good knowledge of the other language; very good command of English \*\*To start with, here are some of our strong points\*\* Doing something meaningful in a fascinating environment and with an outlook to the future: a job at \[Bern University of Applied Sciences\](\ ) makes perfect sense.
