Orbis is currently seeking a talented, energetic Qualifying Specialist for our enrollment division. As a Qualifying Specialist, you are the first point of contact for prospective student inquiries regarding their interest in achieving a college education. The primary role of the Qualifying Specialist is to qualify prospects who have inquired about a University Partner or expressed interest about getting a college degree. The Qualifying Specialist is responsible for responding immediately to call ins, chats and engage the prospective student into a discussion about a college degree. Through the use of effective questioning and listening the qualifying specialists transfers the motivated prospective student to a team member responsible for beginning the enrollment process. Full-Time position (Mon-Fri 40 hours/week) Remote work, ideally looking for someone who can work EST hours Starting Salary: $35,000 a year (non-exempt, hourly position) What you will do: • Answers inquiries from prospects via the telephone and chat in a timely manner, informing them about the University and its programs • Represents GCE as a skilled communicator, familiar with higher education and ensures prospective students receive information needed for them to being their evaluation of the University Partner and its programs. • Shares knowledge of university process and procedure to gauge their interest. • Stays up to date on policy and procedural changes, incorporating those changes into daily operations as established by GCE’s Employee Development department and Management • Determines if the University Partner has a program that will meet the prospect’s needs by listening, probing, recognizing and considering the needs of the prospect. • Appropriately directs prospects to a program that will meet the prospect’s needs. • Accurately shares university expectations to ensure the long-term success of enrolled students • Serves as a member of a graduation team, which includes academic counseling and admissions representatives • Communicates and strategizes with graduation teammates to make sure student needs are met and addressed in a timely manner. • Achieves daily, weekly and monthly goals, as defined by supervisor and department objectives. • Other duties as assigned What you will need: • A passion for assisting others in realizing their goals through higher education • High level of integrity and commitment to compliance with regulatory rules. • Enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic work environment • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Strong computer skills with the ability to toggle between multiple software programs. • Associate's degree preferred Why work at GCE: • A career where your work makes a difference in students’ lives • Ongoing professional development and growth. • Outstanding benefits and work perks. • Collaborative and supportive work environment...and more! #INDLOPESUP Originally posted on Himalayas
