We are looking for an experienced  Project Officer  to join a project team based in  Canberra, ACT , supporting the delivery of projects across a complex and highly structured environment. This is a  12-month contract with the potential for extensions , offering the opportunity to provide project coordination, administrative and financial support while helping project teams maintain effective planning, reporting, governance and delivery processes. hat You’ll Do • Support project and program teams with day-to-day project coordination and administration. • Assist with project testing, evaluation and acceptance activities. • Apply project management methodologies, processes and tools to support project delivery. • Prepare briefs, reports, correspondence and submissions for stakeholders and committees. • Support project governance, including meetings, reporting, documentation and action tracking. • Maintain project schedules, financial records, registers and documentation. • Assist with project planning, risk management, quality assurance and resource tracking. • Monitor project activities, costs and timelines and escalate issues where required. • Provide support to Project Managers across various stages of the project lifecycle. What You’ll Bring • Demonstrated experience in  project coordination or project support . • Experience working with project management methodologies, tools and processes. • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. • Experience preparing  reports, briefs, correspondence and project documentation . • Understanding of project governance, risk, financial and schedule management. • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and a range of stakeholders. • Experience using project management software and standard office tools. • Government, Defence or experience in a highly regulated environment will be highly regarded. • Must hold a current TPSV Clearance to be considered for this role.
