The Team You’ll Work With: **NOTE: THIS ROLE IS LOCATED IN WASHINGTON, DC.** The Office of Federal Affairs coordinates the City's interaction with the Federal administration and Congress. The office keeps the Mayor and City agencies informed about pending or important issues affecting the City. The office also advocates on behalf of the city and is the DC liaison between the City and other cities seeking to work together on federal issues. The Problems You’ll Solve: The Legislative Representative will keep the Mayor and City agencies informed about pending or important issues affecting the City. About You: • You must have detailed knowledge of the Federal legislative process and elected officials. • You can demonstrate the understanding of and experience with any combination of the following: the City legislative process, public policy analysis, New York City and State agency operations, and lobbying. Minimum Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree. • 2+ years of relevant experience in New York City and State agency ecosystem, legislative, and operations processes.
