Why we are here Tony’s Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade, and Aldi have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate too. What you will do As a Business Controller at Tony’s, you’ll step into a fast-growing scale-up environment where supply chain complexity meets fast decision-making. As the right hand to our COO, you will not only own the core controlling cycles - from forecasting and budgeting to reporting - but also take a leading role in shaping the strategic direction of our operations cost base. You will bring structure where things are still being built, introduce governance and control mechanisms that support - not hinder - speed, and ensure financial decisions keep pace with our growth. Your focus will go beyond tracking costs: you’ll question assumptions, evaluate trade-offs, and help operational leaders make smarter, more informed decisions. Whether we’re launching new logistics setups, scaling production, or onboarding suppliers, you’ll be the one ensuring the numbers support our ambition. In your first months, you’ll prioritise building a grip on our global cost drivers and delivering insight that sharpens performance. Over time, you’ll be the architect of a professionalised, forward-looking operations control environment - and a key partner in Tony’s long-term growth. In this role, the real challenge lies in navigating ambiguity, connecting financial insights to operational reality, and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. You’ll translate complexity into clear decision frameworks, build scalable reporting and planning structures, and bring financial clarity to an area of the business that is constantly evolving. All wrapped up, you're responsible for • Run a fit-for-purpose planning and control cycle for our supply chain spend, including reporting, budgeting, and long-term planning. • Partnering with the COO and Head of Operations to share financial insights and ensure P&L owners are in control of their spend. • Translate financial results into meaningful insights - crafting the story behind the numbers and spotting opportunities to improve performance. • Build and evaluate business cases for operational improvements and investments. • Support the broader Business Control team with flexibility and collaboration across the full planning & control cycle. • Elevate financial awareness across teams by making finance accessible, actionable, and strategic.
