Asia’s leading robotics solutions provider, automating enterprise supply chains since 2017. We build syncOS — the industry-first no-code platform that lets manufacturers and warehouse operators integrate, reprogram, and scale automation systems without halting production or calling in specialists. Our autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) run 24/7 for global brands — transforming production lines in hours, not weeks.
As Botsync scales AMR demos across India and Southeast Asia, this Solution Engineer role owns everything between the demo fleet in Bengaluru and a live, working robot on a customer’s floor — commissioning, running, and troubleshooting demos that convert prospects into customers.
The roles and responsibilities:
Running demos on customer sites
• Travel to customer plants and warehouses across India and Southeast Asia to set up and run live AMR demonstrations, typically 1 to 3 demos a month
• Unpack, commission and map a MAG-series AMR on an unfamiliar floor within a single shift: network setup, mapping, waypoint and route configuration in syncOS, charging and docking checks
• Run the demo itself in front of plant managers, operations heads and safety teams, narrating what the robot is doing and answering questions on payload, navigation, safety and charging
• Diagnose and recover live on site when a floor behaves differently from the plan: reflective surfaces, poor WiFi coverage, uneven docking, changing traffic around the route
• Work to site rules at all times: PPE, permit-to-work, and safe operation around forklifts, pedestrians and live production
Demo fleet readiness and logistics
• Own the readiness of the demo fleet: batteries, chargers, magnetic tape, tote and trolley attachments, spares kit, and syncOS software versions matched to the demo scope
• Test every configuration end to end at the Bengaluru facility before it ships, so no robot leaves with a known open issue
• Coordinate packing, freight, customs paperwork and site access with operations for each demo, including cross-border shipments into Southeast Asia
• Maintain the demo asset log and calibration records, and flag units that need refurbishment before they fail in front of a customer
Feeding the sales and product loop
• Work with the sales team before each visit to understand the customer’s material flow and agree what the demo must prove: cycle time, payload, route, or integration with existing lines
• Write a short demo report within two working days covering what was shown, what the customer asked for, and what blocked or nearly blocked the run
• Log every product issue seen on site into the engineering tracker with logs, photos and reproduction steps, so recurring failures reach the product team with evidence
• Support the pre-sales team with layout inputs, video and photo capture from demos, and the occasional trade show or partner event
Essential
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in robotics, industrial automation, system integration, field applications, commissioning, or a related technical field
• Hands-on experience commissioning or deploying mobile robots, AMRs, or similar automation hardware — network setup, mapping, and route/waypoint configuration
• Comfortable troubleshooting live, in unpredictable field conditions (connectivity issues, sensor interference, site-specific quirks) without escalating every issue
• Strong presentation and communication skills — able to explain technical systems clearly to non-technical audiences (plant managers, operations heads, safety teams)
• Willingness to travel extensively and work across multiple sites and countries on a recurring basis
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, product, and operations teams, and writing clear, structured technical reports
Highly desirable
• Experience with fleet management, asset logistics, or spares/calibration tracking
• Familiarity with syncOS or comparable robot fleet orchestration software
• Prior experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or field applications engineering role
