Air Conditioning Engineer – Static Site The Role Working alongside the wider engineering team and reporting to the Contract Manager, you’ll be responsible for keeping the site’s air conditioning systems operating safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include: • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across air conditioning assets. • Attending reactive faults, diagnosing issues and carrying out repairs. • Identifying technical problems and recommending practical solutions. • Sourcing and ordering parts required to complete works. • Completing engineer reports and maintenance documentation. • Carrying out risk assessments and working within site Permit to Work procedures. • Liaising directly with the client and providing updates on ongoing and completed works. • Supporting and escorting specialist subcontractors when required. • Carrying out weekly visual checks of the site's absorption chiller. • Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with relevant Health & Safety procedures. • City & Guilds qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent. • Strong experience maintaining, servicing and fault-finding air conditioning systems. • Good knowledge of mechanical building services and associated systems. • Previous experience within commercial buildings, FM, education or similar environments. • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. • Comfortable dealing directly with clients and other site stakeholders. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • A reliable, flexible and team-focused approach. • Good understanding of Health & Safety, risk assessments and safe systems of work. • Valid DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
