In this role, you will contribute to that mission by providing academic support that meets students where they are and helps them continue to grow. As a Tutor, you will play an important part in helping students develop skills, build confidence, and make measurable progress toward their learning goals. This role is well suited to someone who brings a student-centered approach, values individualized instruction, and can work thoughtfully with students and the people who support them to create a positive and encouraging learning experience. Responsibilities • Provide one-on-one academic support tailored to each student's learning needs • Develop lesson plans and practice materials aligned with student goals • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction strategies as needed • Communicate with parents or guardians about performance and improvement areas • Create an encouraging learning environment that builds confidence and engagement • Experience supporting learners with intellectual or developmental disabilities or similar learning-support needs. • Ability to adapt teaching methods based on student learning styles and performance. • Strong lesson planning and student progress tracking skills for individualized instruction. • Excellent communication skills with students, parents or guardians, and academic staff, including the ability to provide regular progress updates and discuss improvement areas with sensitivity. • Eligible to work in the United States. • Available to work evenings and weekends. • 2+ years of tutoring experience across mixed student levels is a plus. • Experience tutoring a mix of academic subjects is a plus.
