We're looking for a CA-barred litigation associate to join a DC/AZ law firm that initiates lawsuits against defendant companies across consumer protection and complex litigation verticals. Chariot has processed 125,000+ claims and works with 20+ law firms , including several among the five most active complex litigation firms in the country. Law firms rely on Chariot to find the right claimants and handle data/operational complexity, so they can focus on what they do best: litigating. About the Opportunity This opportunity is ideal for a mid-career plaintiff-side litigator who wants to bring justice at scale by leveraging technology partners, notably Chariot Claims. Primary responsibility • Work closely with the Mensch team to fine-comb demand letters — carefully reviewing drafts for statutory accuracy, factual citations, theory alignment, ToS conformity, and state coverage before they go out at scale • QA notice batches and claimant communications pre-send Additional responsibilities • Partner with co-counsel to run plaintiff-side mass arbitration campaigns end-to-end: pre-suit demands, notices of dispute, AAA/JAMS filings, IDRs, and settlement negotiations • Serve as a substantive authority on case strategy, redlines, and filings • Evaluate and validate new case theories across consumer protection, privacy, UDTP, data breach, false advertising, and complex litigation verticals • Help refine the case evaluation playbook — design the framework, run reviews, and codify it for scale and repeatability • Collaborate cross-functionally with Chariot's Legal Ops, Data, and Engineering teams to sharpen case pipelines and demand letter quality Ideal background • JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (preferably CA) • ~5 years of complex litigation experience at a reputable law firm — Big Law or a well-regarded complex lit / plaintiffs' boutique (mass arbitration experience not required) • Direct experience with one or more of: consumer protection, UDTP, privacy/wiretapping, data breach, or false advertising theories is a plus • Strong attention to detail and comfort doing deep, careful review of legal drafts • Tech-inclined; comfortable using AI tools, legal tooling, and automation to move faster • Deadline-driven, organized, and pragmatic; able to make calls quickly without losing rigor • Mission-oriented and wants to hold corporations accountable
