MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
• Perform production operations to obtain utmost and ongoing efficiency
• Support ongoing quality improvement processes to ensure all deliverables are produced defect free and aligned with technical specifications
• Follow standard operational procedures and work practices and policies to ensure consistency of output
• Accurate and timely entering of all product receipts and shipments in the computer
• Ensure product is shipped to the correct location, per the shipping instructions provided using the various freight company software
• Maintain inventory accuracy
• Assist or perform inventory cycle counts.
• Provide the Invoicing Clerk with the correct information to invoice the customer
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Check documents for specific shipping instructions
• Complete required computer functions such as receiving goods, completing job travelers and producing picking and packing slips as required
• Maintain customer address lists on computer
• Prepare ID labels, bills of lading, address labels
• Retain copies of bill of lading
• Trace shipments when needed
• Answer shipping department phone
• Run copies of instruction sheets
• Confirm quality of product and accuracy of counts of received goods
• Assist in packaging products for shipping adhering to the standard practice to ensure that a quality product is delivered Request any training required for you to succeed
• Maintain organized and clean work environment
• Enter recommendations to management for improvements in areas such as personal safety improved product quality better rates and yields, or any other matters that impact shop costs or employee’s health
• Practice safe working habits as detailed in the Company Safety Manual and Employee Handbook
• Do other tasks as directed by a supervisor
• Vision must be correctable to 20/20 .
• Must be able to accurately distinguish and identify colors.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the scheduled shift, including overtime as required.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 65 pounds .
• Must be able to push and/or pull up to 100 pounds .
• Must be able to perform postural movements, including occasional bending , throughout the workday.
