The role supports the consistent application of established security standards, conducts site-security assessments and reviews, identifies operational risks and recommends practical mitigation measures to support safe scientific, field and project activities. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate security activities across assigned experimental stations and hubs in Mexico, across States and multiple locations, under the guidance of Security Management. • Coordinate and verify compliance with established CIMMYT security requirements at hubs operating under collaboration agreements with government, academic, civil society or agricultural organizations. • Conduct annual site-security assessments and risk reviews for CIMMYT stations, hubs and other relevant sites in Mexico, identifying findings and recommending practical and prioritized mitigation measures. • Work with Station Superintendents, field leadership and relevant stakeholders to address identified security issues and support consistent application of established security procedures and standards. • Work with Station Superintendents, field leadership and relevant stakeholders to address identified security issues and support consistent application of established security procedures and standards. • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Security Management, Criminology, Public Safety, Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. • Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience in physical security, corporate security or site-security operations, including experience coordinating or supervising security personnel. • Experience with shift-based security operations, access control, security patrols, incident reporting and implementation of established security procedures. • Experience supporting security risk analyses and incident investigations is desirable • Ability to organize shift-based security operations and maintain adequate staffing and service continuity. • Availability to travel regularly within Mexico, including to experimental stations, hubs and field locations.
