• Maintain and repair military or commercial avionics, radar equipment, aircraft electronic systems, or comparable complex electronic equipment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and equipment specifications
• Use electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, and power meters
• Perform fault isolation, diagnose electronic equipment failures, and conduct basic component-level repairs, including soldering, desoldering, circuit card rework, and electronic component replacement
• Conduct functional testing, acceptance testing, and post-repair verification of electronic equipment in accordance with established procedures
• Interpret and follow Technical Orders (TOs), Technical Manuals (TMs), maintenance manuals, and established test and repair procedures
• Identify discrepancies in troubleshooting procedures, repair instructions, and test methods and recommend improvements to senior technicians or engineering personnel
• ·Accurately document troubleshooting activities, identified failures, corrective actions, test results, and final equipment disposition while maintaining complete repair records and equipment traceability
• Other duties as assigned
Education/Training:
• High School diploma required
• Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology, Avionics, or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred
Experience:
• 2+ years of experience required
• Working knowledge of component-level, circuit card, subassembly, and Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) troubleshooting and repair required
• Working knowledge of analog and digital electronics, including power supplies, signal processing, control circuits, and communication interfaces
• Familiarity with quality management systems, configuration control, electrostatic discharge (ESD) requirements, and applicable electronics workmanship standards
Security:
• Must be a US citizen
• Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking, able to bend, stretch, work with hands, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery
• Must be able to visually inspect machines
• Must be able to wear required safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and respirator as needed
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
