Overview of the role
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Business Development Associate (Contract) to join our Seoul office and support new business development activities in the Korean market. This is a 12 months fixed-term contract role covering parental leave, offering an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and international business environment.
As a key member of the commercial team, you will be responsible for identifying prospective clients and generating new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn engagement, and other prospecting activities. You will act as a first point of contact for potential clients and help connect them with the right Euromonitor solutions.
Working closely with senior members of the sales team, you will help identify and engage prospective clients, build prospect lists, qualify leads, and schedule meetings with potential clients across a variety of industries. You will gain hands-on experience using CRM systems, sales technologies, and AI-powered tools while developing valuable communication, research, and business development skills.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is eager to learn, enjoys speaking with new people, and is interested in building a successful career in sales and business development. • Leveraging AI-powered tools, sales intelligence platforms, and automation technologies to increase prospecting efficiency, improve personalization, and uncover new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct outbound prospecting activities through cold calling, cold emailing, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
• Research companies and identify potential decision-makers and contacts.
• Build and maintain prospect lists and sales databases.
• Generate qualified leads and schedule introductory meetings for the sales team.
• Follow up on marketing-generated leads and campaign responses.
• Record and update prospect interactions accurately in the CRM system.
• Support sales and marketing initiatives, including webinars, events, and lead generation campaigns.
• Work closely with senior members of the sales team to support pipeline growth.
• Learn and communicate Euromonitor's products, services, and value proposition to prospective clients.
• Use tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Microsoft Copilot to improve prospecting efficiency and personalize outreach.
• Meet daily and weekly activity targets for calls, emails, and lead generation.
• Right to work in South Korea
• Recent university graduate or currently completing a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong interest in building a career in sales, business development, or commercial roles.
• Comfortable making cold calls and reaching out to new prospects.
• Good English reading and comprehension skills.
• Positive attitude, resilience, and willingness to learn from feedback.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and online research tools.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn and AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot is an advantage but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
