Solution Engineer - Quality, Laboratory & OT Systems

As our laboratories, manufacturing sites, and quality organizations become increasingly digital, we are looking for a Solution Engineer who can help bridge business processes and technology across Quality, Research & Technology (R&T), and Operational Technology (OT) domains. This role offers a unique opportunity to become a key technology partner for our global laboratory and quality functions, helping ensure that critical systems are reliable, compliant, efficient, and aligned with Envalior's business ambitions. The Role As a  Solution Engineer – Quality, Laboratory & OT Systems , you will act as the subject matter expert and trusted advisor for a portfolio of laboratory, quality, and manufacturing applications, with a primary focus on  Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) . LIMS applications sit at the heart of Envalior's quality and laboratory operations. They support the management of laboratory samples, testing workflows, quality data, product specifications, and batch release activities across manufacturing and R&D environments. As the system owner and technical lead, you will ensure these platforms continue to deliver business value while supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement. You will work closely with Quality, R&T, Operations, Manufacturing, Digital Solutions Delivery, and Technology Services teams worldwide to support existing solutions while identifying opportunities for innovation, automation, and simplification. What You Will Do Own and Support Critical Laboratory & Quality Systems • Serve as the IT System Owner for Envalior's LIMS QA solutions. • Manage the lifecycle of laboratory and quality applications, including enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and support activities. • Ensure platforms remain secure, stable, and aligned with evolving business requirements. • Act as the primary escalation point for complex application and process issues. • Support business continuity across laboratory and quality operations globally. Partner with the Business • Develop a deep understanding of Quality, R&T, and Operational Technology processes. • Collaborate with laboratory managers, quality teams, manufacturing stakeholders, and digital colleagues to identify opportunities for improvement. • Translate business challenges into scalable digital solutions. • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively communicate the value of technology-enabled change. Drive Innovation and Digital Transformation • Propose innovative information solutions by combining existing systems with emerging digital technologies. • Evaluate opportunities to improve laboratory efficiency, data management, automation, and operational performance. • Simplify and modernize existing application landscapes. • Eliminate waste, reduce complexity, and improve user experience through technology and process optimization. Enable Reliable Laboratory Operations • Support systems used for sample management, laboratory workflows, testing activities, and quality data management. • Ensure effective system integrations between laboratory, manufacturing, and enterprise platforms. • Help maintain accurate, timely, and accessible laboratory information across the value chain. • Support the digital backbone that enables quality decision-making and product release activities. Lead Continuous Improvement • Identify opportunities to strengthen system performance and business processes. • Promote best practices in application management, information architecture, and digital solutions. • Support change management initiatives and user adoption activities. • Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across supported domains. Education • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline. Experience • Experience in application management, solution engineering, business analysis, or related digital roles. • Experience supporting Quality, Manufacturing, Laboratory, R&T, or Operational Technology environments. • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. • Experience working within global and cross-functional organizations. • Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
