<p>Our client in Bailieborough, Co. Cavan is seeking committed and compassionate Social Care Workers to support young people living in a residential care setting. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred support that promotes safety, stability, emotional wellbeing, and positive life outcomes. You will contribute to creating a nurturing environment and play a key role in helping young people thrive.<br><br><u><strong>Role Description</strong></u></p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement Care and Placement Plans, ensuring accurate and timely records are maintained.</li> <li>Promote the rights, responsibilities and overall physical, emotional, social and religious welfare of each young person.</li> <li>Support young people with education, training, medical appointments and other personal development needs.</li> <li>Manage young people’s personal documentation, finances and arrangements, while liaising with families, parents and external agencies.</li> <li>Build positive relationships through age-appropriate activities, play and day-to-day support, including physical intervention where required and in line with policy.</li> <li>Prepare nutritious meals with young people and support household management, including budgeting, cleaning and general upkeep.</li> <li>Maintain accurate written and verbal records, including progress reports and documentation of incidents.</li> <li>Attend team meetings and supervision, communicate effectively with management and work collaboratively as part of a wider team.</li> <li>Maintain professional knowledge through training and development, keeping up to date with relevant legislation, childcare practice and organisational policies.</li> <li>Comply with health and safety requirements, emergency procedures, relevant regulations and sustainable working practices.</li> </ul> <p><u><strong>Requirements</strong></u></p> <ul> <li>QQI Level 7&nbsp;in Social Care (or equivalent)&nbsp;</li> <li>Children's mainstream experience preferred</li> <li>A full, clean drivers’ licence, valid in Ireland</li> <li>Knowledge of the National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres and Children’s First.</li> </ul> <p><u><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits</strong></u></p> <ul> <li>€38,000 - €44,000</li> <li>Annual 3% increase on salary</li> <li>Training provided</li> <li>Pay more than standard pension</li> </ul> <p><strong data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Reasonable Adjustments:</strong></p> <p>If you consider yourself to have a disability or require any reasonable adjustment during the recruitment process or within the workplace, please highlight this at the earliest opportunity by contacting our team.</p> <p>We are unable to support or accept applications from candidates who are residents within the Red or Amber list of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Workforce Support and Safeguard List.<br><br>BH - 202599<br>GH - 36255</p>
